The start of a New Year brings so many new things, but one of my favorites would have to be a new planner! I must admit that I am a planner nerd. Since I was a little girl I have had a love for pens and paper of any kind. Give me a notepad and some colored pens and I could sit and write for hours. That love of pen and paper has stuck with me through the years. I get so excited when I purchase my planner for the new year and sit down and begin to write in it, birthdays, anniversaries, trips. There are so many options with all of the technology and apps available. Some people tend to use digital calendars solely while others solely use a paper planner. Whatever your preference is there are plenty of options. Keeping up with my schedule, I tend to use both. Logging appointments into my calendar on my iPhone while also jotting things down into my paper planner. I like the option of being able to set reminders for appointments, as I can be forgetful in my busyness.
For the past two years I have used Whitney English's Day Designer. This planner is not only pretty but completely functional and I absolutely love it. The layout of the daily page is so functional and gives a lot of options for planning your day. From an hourly layout, a to-do list, to a place for your Top 3 most important tasks, you can plan your entire day right in your planner.
The previous two years I used the original size Day Designer. My only complaint is that it is a little large to carry around day to day. I mostly only used it at home. This year Whitney offered a "mini" Day Designer. I am excited to give the "mini" size a try. I feel like it will be a little easier to carry with me to and from work. I spend a lot of time sitting at a desk and I like to have my planner with me so as thoughts or things come up I am able to jot them down in my planner.
I purchased my planner through the Day Designer retailer, Belle and Blush. They offered a beautiful pink color with gold polka dots. When my planner arrived it was packaged in an adorable little blue drawer box and wrapped in bubble wrap.
It is absolutely adorable and I can't wait to start using it. I love that Whitney created pages in the beginning of the planner to do goal setting and planning for your whole year. I plan on filling these pages out next week while it is quiet before the new year begins.
